Siddaramaiah Alleges Opportunism in JD(S)-BJP Alliance

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has launched a scathing attack on former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, his son and ex-Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy. On Monday, Siddaramaiah asserted that these prominent Janata Dal (Secular) leaders, who had previously been vocal critics of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have now forged an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) solely to ensure their political survival. This sharp rebuke comes amidst growing political realignments in the state, particularly with an eye on upcoming electoral contests.

The Chief Minister's remarks highlight a significant shift in the political landscape of Karnataka.
